What Are Pocket Spring Units?

Pocket Spring Units (also called pocket coil springs or encased coil springs) are individually fabric-wrapped steel coils sewn together in continuous rows to form a spring core. Unlike traditional Bonnell spring systems, each coil in a pocket spring unit moves independently, which gives mattresses, sofas, and cushioned furniture better motion isolation, contouring support, and durability.

Pocket spring units are the core support layer inside:

• Pocket spring mattresses – hybrid, memory foam, and hotel-grade mattresses

• Sofa seating and cushions – for improved comfort and shape retention

• Pillows and cushioned headboards – for structured yet responsive support
